How does equipment work in Magic The Gathering?
DemonstratingUnit·7 months agoShort and sweet: Equipment is like giving your creatures a sword or armor to buff them up. Pay to play it, then pay to attach it to your creature. Creature dies, the equipment sticks around to buff another day.

In MTG, equipment cards are artifacts that you can attach to your creatures to give them boosts or special abilities. Firstly, you gotta cast the equipment card by paying its mana cost. Then, once it's on the battlefield, you can attach it to a creature by paying the equipment's equip cost. This can usually be done anytime you could play a sorcery (so, mainly your turn and in your main phases). Remember, if the creature equipped dies, the equipment stays on the battlefield. You can then equip it to a different creature by paying the equip cost again. It's a solid way to give your creatures an edge!
