The two main islands in Subnautica, the Floating Island and the Mountain Island, are both roughly 1,000 meters from the center of the map鈥攇ive or take a scary sea creature or two!
Speaking from experience, the Floating Island is a bit closer to the southwest, while the Mountain Island sits northeast, a bit farther but worth the trip. Keep an eye on your compass!
