Tears of the Kingdom picks up right where Breath of the Wild left off, so it's not far into the future at all! Think of it as a direct sequel that continues Link's adventure in Hyrule, introducing new mechanics and an even bigger world to explore. It's more about expanding the existing story and world than jumping far ahead in time.

Not too far. Tears of the Kingdom is a continuation, not a time travel extravaganza. It builds directly on the foundations of Breath of the Wild, keeping the timeline pretty snug to its predecessor.

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
