How good is Reflecting Pool in MTG?
RollingHank路7 months agoReflecting Pool is pretty awesome, especially in multi-colored decks. It basically becomes whatever land you need it to be, mana-wise. Imagine you're playing a deck with a bunch of different color needs, Reflecting Pool helps smooth out your mana by mirroring any land type you've already got in play. It's like the ultimate utility player in a baseball team but for your lands.

It's not just good, it's a staple in any Commander deck that runs three or more colors. Reflecting Pool shines brightest here because Commander decks can get pretty greedy with mana requirements. With Reflecting Pool, you're way less likely to get stuck with a hand you can't play.
Idk why people hype it up so much. Sure, Reflecting Pool can be good in the right deck, but if you're playing a monochrome or even two-color deck, it's just a pretty basic land. It's all about the deck you're playing it in.
Overrated. Mana fixing is important but there are better lands out there that don't depend on what else you've got on the field.
