You can deactivate Facebook for as long as you like! If you want to come back in a week, a month, or even years later, it's all good. Just log back in, and everything will be waiting for you.
I've deactivated mine for almost a year before and returned with no issues. Your account and data will still be there whenever you decide to come back!
