Fallout 76 was in development for about 4 years. It was announced in June 2018 but work began way back in 2014, just after Fallout 4's development wrapped up. So yeah, a solid chunk of time to build that post-apocalyptic West Virginia.

Only 4 years, which honestly surprised me given the game鈥檚 depth and the size of its world. Started right after Fallout 4, they really didn't take a breather!

4 years might seem long, but for a game like Fallout 76, it's pretty standard. They needed time to get that open world and online multiplayer just right.

4 years? Felt shorter with how much content they've managed to cram into Appalachia. Definitely didn't cut any corners there.

IMO, 4 years wasn't enough. Needed more to polish.

If you're a Fallout 76 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!
