10. That's the max. Any more and you'd need to start a separate nature reserve.

Honestly, 10 villagers are more than enough. Trying to keep up with all their birthdays and friendship tasks is already a full-time job!

In Animal Crossing, the number of animal villagers that can live on your island changes a bit with each game. In New Horizons, you can have up to 10 animal villagers living on your island at once. And remember, these are just the villagers; pets aren't really a thing unless you count fish and bugs you catch as 'pets'.

I've had up to 10 animal buddies at one time in New Horizons. It's the perfect number to create a lively community without overcrowding. Plus, it leaves space for all the trees and flowers you'll want to plant!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
