Hundreds! MTG has been around since '93, so you can bet there's a massive number of discard spells. They're a core part of the game's strategy, messing with your opponent's hand. Always fun to drop one and see the despair in their eyes.

Too many to count without a database! Just know if you're looking to make your friends miserable, MTG has you covered.

Honestly, not enough. I always seem to need more in my decks.

Oh boy, counting the exact number of discard spells in MTG is like trying to count all the stars in the sky! There are literally hundreds, considering all the expansions and editions released since 1993. Every new set usually adds a few to the pile, so the number keeps growing!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
