Just to add a hot take: technically, you could have a deck of more than four duplicates if you're just messing around with friends. But for official play, stick to the four-card rule unless you want to be 'that person'.

Rule of thumb for MTG: 4 copies max of any card (except basic lands - pile 'em high as you like). I've tried and tested in tournaments; it's a solid rule. Keeps the game fair and balanced.

In Magic The Gathering, you can have up to four of any individual card in a deck, except for basic lands which you can have any number of. So, if you're planning to build a deck, remember the rule of four to keep things legal!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
