Boruto has quite a few fillers, with over 100 episodes considered filler as of now. It gives you a chance to see more character backstories and lighthearted moments!

From my experience, Boruto mixes canon and filler pretty well, so it doesn't feel overwhelming. Definitely more than Naruto but still entertaining.
