At launch, Fallout 76 didn't have traditional NPCs like previous games. Instead, it focused on interaction with other players and robots/audio tapes for missions. However, with the Wastelanders update in April 2020, Bethesda introduced human NPCs, adding a ton of them across various settlements. So, while there's no exact public count, the number has significantly increased post-Wastelanders!

Not enough if you ask me. Sure, they added human NPCs with Wastelanders, but compared to other Fallout games, it still feels lacking. More NPCs, please, Bethesda!

There's literally no way to give an exact number because Bethesda keeps adding NPCs with updates. But after the Wastelanders update, we got a boatload of new faces, from settlers to raiders. Plus, don't forget the roaming vendors and quest givers!

If you're a Fallout 76 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
