A lot of folks have upgraded to Splatoon 2 for the fresh features and updates, but don't worry, there's still a small group of die-hard fans splatting away on Splatoon 1.

I was playing Splatoon 1 last week, and it's still possible to find a match, but you'll wait longer. Splatoon 2's way more active and fun with its robust community!

Splatoon 1 has a dedicated, albeit smaller, community since most players splashed over to Splatoon 2, attracted by all the new content and updates! Splatoon 2 still has a lively pool of squids, thanks to its ongoing support and player base on the Nintendo Switch.

Honestly, Splatoon 1? It's basically a ghost town.
