Just think of Steam taking a 30% slice of the cake for every game sold. Once a game's revenue crosses certain milestones ($10 million and $50 million), the slice they take gets smaller (25% then 20%).

Honestly, the 30% Steam takes is too much. Other platforms offer better deals.

Steam takes a 30% cut from game sales, which is the standard rate for most digital distribution platforms. This means if a developer sells a game for $10, Steam keeps $3. But, for games that exceed $10 million in sales, Steam's cut drops to 25%, and for sales over $50 million, it further reduces to 20%.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
