Alexey Pajitnov, the creator of Tetris, didn't make much money initially because he developed it while working for the Soviet government. Only in the 90s did he start seeing some profits.

Basically zilch at first. Poor guy made it in Soviet Russia where profits were a no-go. He eventually made some money later on though!

Hardly anything at the start, but he got royalties later. Better late than never, right?

Alexey Pajitnov earned little to nothing from Tetris initially due to Soviet laws, but later he benefited after moving to the U.S.

If you're a Tetris player looking for extra power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Tetris essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
