Blood Moons in Tears of the Kingdom are pretty unpredictable, but they seem to pop up roughly every 2 hours and 48 minutes of real-time gameplay. Just enough to keep you on your toes without totally wrecking your day. Make sure you've cleared out any major camps you wanted loot from before one hits!

Blood Moons? Oh, they're just Nintendo's way of saying 'Surprise! More monsters!' Seems like they happen whenever the game feels like it, but seriously, it's about every 2.5 to 3 hours of play.

Random. Feels random. Just when you think you're safe, boom, Blood Moon and everything you just did needs redoing. Fun times in Hyrule!

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
