It's not your typical horror show, but it definitely has its moments that might make you jump. Think more along the lines of a dark fantasy with gruesome elements rather than outright horror.
Honestly, it's more cool and action-packed than outright scary. There are some creepy devils, but it's the kind of thrilling that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I found it to be more thrilling than scary. Denji's chainsaw transformations are awesome, and while there's some gore, it's balanced out by the humor and unique characters.
Just watch it already, it's not that scary. If you've survived other anime with supernatural elements, you'll be fine.
