How to 2 Player Super Mario Odyssey?
All you need to do is grab a second Joy-Con and choose 'Two-Player' mode from the start menu. One person can be Mario, and the other can be his trusty hat, Cappy! Easy peasy.

Call me old-fashioned, but single-player is the way to go. Two-player mode feels a bit tacked on.
You don't need any fancy setups! Just pick 'Two-Player' mode from the menu, and enjoy the fun of controlling Mario and Cappy with a friend!
