First, reach Rank V in either the USA, Russia, or Germany aviation tech trees. Then, grind your way up to unlock specific helicopters. Happy flying!
To access helicopters in War Thunder, you need to unlock them in the aviation tech tree by grinding through several specific aircraft lines, usually starting at Rank V or higher. Once unlocked, you'll need to use them in battles to gain RP and SL to upgrade and maintain them.
From experience, I found that grinding through the U.S. aviation tree was the fastest way to access helicopters. Took some time but was totally worth it!
