Walk up to NPCs with exclamation points. Seriously, if they got the '!', they got the goods.
To acquire quests in The Ascent, just interact with NPCs (Non-Playable Characters) that have an exclamation mark (!) above their heads. You'll find them throughout the game world. Happy hunting!
From my experience, you can get quests by exploring and talking to key NPCs scattered around the map. Most of them have a yellow or blue icon to identify their quest-giving potential. Enjoy the game!
