How to add a new location in Instagram
To add a new location on Instagram, go to 'Add Post' then 'Tag Location.' If the location isn't listed, type the name, and you should see an option to create it. Follow the prompts, and your new spot is good to go!

Open Instagram and begin making a new post. When you get to 'Add Location,' type the name of the location you want to create. If it doesn't automatically appear, you can create it by completing the necessary fields. I've created a few local spots myself!
You can't add a new location directly. Instead, create a Facebook location and link it to your Instagram. Annoying but true!
