Adding a new villager in Animal Crossing is pretty straightforward but varies a bit depending on the game you're playing. In New Horizons, for example, you first need to buy a plot of land from Tom Nook. Once you have your plot, you can entice villagers to move in by visiting mystery islands with Nook Miles Tickets. You can invite the villagers you meet there to live on your island. If you've got an amiibo, you can use the Nook Stop terminal in Resident Services to invite characters to your campsite, then convince them to stay!

You don't always 'add' villagers; sometimes, they just show up. Be patient and keep your island nice and welcoming!

Just go to mystery islands and spam talk to every villager you find until one agrees to move to your island. It's like convincing a friend to come over to your place, but with more palm trees around.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
