Honestly, why bother? I add people I meet in-game. More fun that way, and you actually get to see their island before deciding if you wanna be switch friends or not.

To add friends in Animal Crossing with a friend code, you'll need to fire up your Nintendo Switch and head over to your home screen. Then, select your User icon in the upper left corner. Scroll down to 'Add Friend', and then go to 'Search with Friend Code'. Enter your friend's 12-digit friend code, and voila, friend request sent! Once they accept, you'll see them in your list of friends. Remember, both of you need a Nintendo Online subscription to visit each other's islands!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
