How to Add Music to Spotify
If you have music files on your computer, you can add them to Spotify! Just go to Settings and scroll down to 'Local Files.' Toggle it on, then head to your library and the 'Local Files' section will appear with your music.

Short answer: you can't upload to Spotify like it's SoundCloud. Use 'Local Files' option for your own music.
