Easy as pie! After a match, go to your Switch's friend invitations. From there, find the 'recently played with' list to send that friend request.

Nintendo doesn't make it super easy, but you can add friends through their Switch codes once you know them, or if you've recently played, use the friend suggestions feature on your Switch!
