Adding friends on Steam is super easy! Just click on your 'Friends & Chat' window at the bottom right. There, click on the 'Add a Friend' button where you can search for your friend's username or use their unique Friend Code. Share your Code with them or enter theirs, hit send invite, and voila, you're connected!
From personal experience, the easiest way I found friends on Steam was by linking my Facebook account. It automatically suggests friends who have their accounts linked too. Super helpful if you're bad at remembering usernames or codes.
