Easy peasy! Just add the contact to your phone's address book. Open WhatsApp, tap the chat icon, and boom! Your new contact should appear.
Just save the person's number in your phone like you normally would. WhatsApp will automatically pull it up. No rocket science here!
If you don't see the contact right away, try refreshing by tapping the 'New Chat' button on WhatsApp and then 'Refresh' from the menu. Worked for me!
You don't even need WhatsApp open. Save the number on your phone, and when you open WhatsApp next time, it'll already be there.
