No AirPlay icon? Go to your Mac鈥檚 System Preferences -> Displays, and check the 'Show mirroring options in the menu bar...' box. Then follow the usual steps to connect to your Roku.
Honestly, it鈥檚 just more reliable to use an HDMI cable directly. Less fighting with Wi-Fi!
First, enable AirPlay on your Roku (Settings -> Apple AirPlay and HomeKit -> AirPlay). Then on your Mac, hit the AirPlay icon in your menu bar and pick your Roku. Simple as that!
