Archiving Instagram Highlights directly isn’t a built-in feature, but you can save them to your phone! Go to your story, tap the highlight you want, press the three dots (menu) at the bottom-right, and select ‘Save Story’. Voila, you’ve archived them to your gallery!

You can't actually archive Instagram highlights. Just recreate them with the saved content when you need to.
