Easiest way to catch those sparkly little lifesavers is to sneak up on them. Seriously, just tiptoe when you see them fluttering around fairy fountains. They get spooked easily, so if you storm in like a Lynel charging, they'll vanish. Oh, and wearing armor that boosts stealth helps a ton!

Don't forget to approach at night! Fairies love the moonlight in Tears of the Kingdom, makes them feel all romantic or something. Just kidding, but seriously, night time is the right time.
Just walk up to them, lol. But really, quiet-like. It's not rocket science, folks.
