You can't directly back up your camera roll to Snapchat, but you can save Snaps and Stories to Memories. Just import your photos to Memories!
If you want to keep your favorite moments, save them to Snapchat Memories by importing photos directly. Otherwise, use a cloud service for a full backup.
TBH, Snapchat isn't the app to back up your entire camera roll. Use it for fun Snaps and Stories, and leave backups to Google Photos or iCloud.
