Backing up your Animal Crossing island is super easy and saves you a lot of heartache if something goes wrong! Just go to the title screen of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, press the '-' button to access settings, and Tom Nook will guide you through enabling island backup. Remember, this requires a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, but it's totally worth it to keep your island safe!

Quick tip: You NEED Nintendo Switch Online to back up your Animal Crossing island. Don't learn the hard way like I did when my Switch decided to take a surprise bath. Enable it in settings, and sleep easy knowing your island's safe.

Honestly, I don't get the hype about backing up your island. Just play and enjoy the game. It's about the journey, not the backup!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
