First up, you gotta have the right rod! Only the Fiberglass Rod and the Iridium Rod can be baited. Once you've got one of them, open your inventory, pick up the bait (left-click or tap), and then right-click or tap the rod. Boom, you're all set to catch some fish!

Just drag and drop the bait onto the rod in your inventory. Simple as pie. But remember, ya can't do this with the Bamboo Pole. Upgrading your gear is essential for this task!

Nope, you can't do it with the starter rod. Got to upgrade to Fiberglass or better. Then it's just a click away.
