First things first, you gotta get your hands on some bait. You can either craft it using bug meat that you find in the mines or buy it from Willy's shop at the beach. Once you have your bait, open your inventory, pick up the bait (left-click or tap and hold), and then click on the rod (if you're using the PC or mobile) or use the controller if you're on console. Just remember, you need at least the fiberglass rod to attach bait!

Pro tip: if you're looking to really get into the fishing scene in Stardew, make sure to upgrade your rod to the Iridium one when you can. Why? Because you can't attach bait to the bamboo pole, and the fiberglass rod is just the beginning. Happy fishing!

Just buy it from the store and click it onto the rod, duh. You do need the right rod though!

Honestly, fishing's overrated. Why not just farm pumpkins? Much more profitable.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
