Baiting in Stardew Valley is super simple! Just buy or craft some bait first - you can get it from the Fish Shop or craft it using bug meat if you're into the DIY vibe. Then, open your inventory, pick up the bait with a right click or hold the button down if you're on mobile, and then click on your fishing rod if it supports bait (like the Fiberglass Rod or the Iridium Rod). Boom, you're all set to catch some fish!

Why bother with bait? The real pros use Crab Pots. Just saying.

If you're asking about bait, just slap that stuff right onto any rod that's not the bamboo one. Right-click or tap and hold, depending on what you're playing on. Honestly, it's easier than waking up on time in the game.

Pro tip: Stock up on lots of bait. Running low right before a big fishing day is the WORST.
