To bait your fishing pole in Stardead Valley, first, you gotta have the fiberglass rod or a better one cuz the basic one won't do the trick. Then, you just open your inventory, pick up the bait (left click or tap and hold if you’re on mobile), and then right click the rod if you're on PC or tap it in your inventory if you’re on mobile. Boom, baited!

No need to overthink, folks. Upgrade your rod and add the bait. Done.

Honestly, just get the fiberglass rod or something better and drag your bait onto it. If you're trying to do this on the basic rod, you're outta luck, friend.

You simply can't bait the bamboo pole, so make sure you've upgraded to at least the fiberglass rod. After that, it's just dragging and dropping the bait onto the rod in your inventory. Easy peasy.

If you're a Stardew Valley player, you need to download the Playbite app!
