Use a character with strong ranged attacks or projectiles to keep Rathalos at bay and chip away at his health safely.
Lol, just spam projectiles and hope for the best. Seriously though, keep moving and avoid those fireballs!
Forest Hill is a tricky stage, but focusing on avoiding Rathalos' attacks while dealing as much damage as you can to him whenever he lands will help you take him down. Remember to use ranged attacks to stay out of his swipe range!
