To beat Metal Gear REX, aim for its radome to deal significant damage, then target the cockpit when it opens for the pilot. And don't forget to dodge those deadly attacks!

I defeated Metal Gear REX by hiding behind cover and carefully aiming my Stinger missiles. Takes practice but it's possible.
