Just head over to the profile of the person you want to block, hit the three dots at the top-right corner, and choose 'Block'. Problem solved!
I recently had to do this and it's pretty straightforward. Find the person’s profile, click on the three dots (you’ll see them right by their cover photo), then select 'Block'. Confirm it and you’re done!
