Tbh, I just spam down-back whenever I see those low attacks coming. Works most of the time!

Just press down + back simultaneously. Your character will crouch and block those sneaky low hits.

From my experience, holding down and back at the same time will effectively block low attacks. Just remember to keep an eye on your opponent's moves!
