How to block reels on Facebook
There's no way to completely block reels, but you can hide individual ones by clicking the three dots on the top right of a reel and selecting 'Hide Reel'.

You can 'snooze' reels by unfollowing the pages or people who post them frequently. This reduces the chances of seeing them in your feed.
You can't entirely block reels, but you can spend more time interacting with content you prefer. Facebook's algorithm will catch on and show you fewer reels.
