You can also make your account private so only approved followers can see your posts. Just go to settings, privacy, and switch 'Private Account' on.
From personal experience, blocking someone took me less than a minute. Go to their profile, tap the three dots, and select 'Block.'
Alternatively, you can use the 'Restrict' feature to limit their interaction without outright blocking them. Find it in your settings under 'Privacy.'
Just block 'em, it's easier and more satisfying.
