First, weaken the ship's engines without destroying it. Once disabled, approach and select the docking option to board. It's like space piracy 101.

Disable the engines, approach the ship, and dock. Remember, don't blow it up before trying to board!
I鈥檝e done this a few times! Target the engines until they鈥檙e offline, then fly in close and hit the dock button. Simple as pie!
