Level the ground first and always use beams. Also, a good roof angle helps with rain. Built my own Viking castle this way!
Start by leveling the ground with a hoe, trust me, it makes a world of difference! Then, lay a solid foundation using wood or stone. Use supports regularly to keep everything from collapsing. Happy building, Viking!
Supports, supports, supports! And don't forget about the roof - having a steep one helps with weatherproofing.
Just build on flat ground and use plenty of support beams. Simple, effective, and it won't collapse on you.
