Bought the game, smashed some zombies, and built a watchtower. Easily done from the base menu in an empty slot. Simple!

First, you'll need to ensure you have a large enough base site. Then open the base menu, select an empty facility slot, and choose 'Watchtower'. Make sure you have enough Influence and materials!
