Simple answer? Look at eBay sold listings. What people are willing to pay = actual value.

Calculating the value of a Pokemon card isn't an exact science, but a mix of art and a bit of research. First off, check for rarity symbols at the bottom of the card - circle means common, diamond is uncommon, and star stands for rare. Holographic versions are usually worth more. Condition is king; a mint condition card can fetch a pretty penny. Use online price guides like TCGPlayer or eBay sold listings to see what similar cards are going for. Remember, the market can fluctuate, so what鈥檚 hot today might not be tomorrow!

Rarity, condition, and the market dictate everything. A rare card in poor condition might not fetch as much as a less rare card in mint condition. And sometimes, the market's just weird. I sold a card I thought was worthless for a good chunk of change because it suddenly became popular in the competitive scene.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
