First hand tip: Did this last week. You just need to go into the Roku Channel Store, find Discovery Plus, and cancel directly from your subscription options.
Honestly, just uninstall the app and move on. It works for me.
Log in to Roku's website, go to 'Manage your subscriptions,' find Discovery Plus, and hit 'Cancel subscription.' Boom, done!
