Do yourself a favor and just get a Chromecast. It's easier.
Go to Settings on your Roku, enable 'Screen Mirroring,' then on your Android, swipe down, find 'Cast,' and select your Roku. Voila!
I've done it a million times - just make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Then, open your video app, tap 'cast,' and select Roku.
