Honestly, it's mostly luck. I must've cast my line a hundred times before I finally snagged a Moray Eel. Keep at it, and you'll get one eventually!

Just fish in the ocean during the right season, easy peasy. Long shadows are your clue.

Catching a Moray Eel in Animal Crossing is all about timing and location! First, make sure you're fishing during the right months - Moray Eels show up from August to October in the Northern Hemisphere and from February to April in the Southern Hemisphere. You'll wanna fish in the sea, not in rivers or ponds, and look for a long, thin shadow. No need for any specific bait, just your regular fishing rod. Good luck, and may the seas be ever in your favor!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
