Catching a sturgeon in Animal Crossing can be a bit tricky, but totally worth the effort! First off, you want to make sure you're fishing at the mouth of a river where it meets the ocean. These big fellas only spawn there. Make sure you're fishing during the sturgeon's active months, which vary depending on your hemisphere. In the Northern Hemisphere, they're available from September to March, and in the Southern Hemisphere, from March to September. Use a fishing rod and keep an eye out for large fish shadows. Patience is key, and make sure your inventory has space for your big catch!

Honestly, it took me forever to catch a sturgeon. Once I figured out they only show up at the river mouth, it was game on. Also, don鈥檛 waste your bait on small fish shadows; hold out for the big ones. It's all about that timing and a bit of luck.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
