How to Change a Hard Drive in a PS3
RemovingMyth路7 months agoFirst, back up your data. Turn off your PS3 and unplug it. Locate the hard drive cover on the side, slide it off, and unscrew the blue screw. Pull out the drive tray, swap the old drive with the new one, and reverse the steps. Easy peasy!

Start by backing up your data. Turn off your PS3, disconnect all cables, find the hard drive cover, and remove it. Unscrew the blue bolt, slide out the hard drive. Replace it with the new drive and reassemble everything.
Back up everything first. Then, turn off and unplug the PS3. Remove the hard drive cover and the blue screw. Swap the drive and reinstall everything. Done in minutes!
Honestly, just look up a video on YouTube. It's much easier to follow than text instructions.
I did this last year and it's pretty straightforward. Just make sure you back up your data and have a small Philips screwdriver. Took me about 10 minutes!
